About
Celebrating fellowship and faith in the Spirit of St Philip Neri
St Philip Neri was one of the saints of the counter-reformation, who founded a religious congregation of priests known as the Congregation of the Oratory. St Philip (1515-1595) was particularly interested in invigorating and supporting the faith of people in Rome through a sense of joyful companionship and an energetic engagement with life. In a time when society can make being a man of faith somewhat challenging, it is hoped that the Philip Neri Dinners will provide a supportive environment for men of faith to enjoy the company of others of like mind, to celebrate life, and to find an opportunity for civil discussion, particularly in the area of faith and life. The project’s design is for men of Christian faith to gather together over some fine food and wine, listen to a guest speaker, and enjoy each other's company.
